The winning Design A, a representation in sandstone and green glass of the 'Green Corridor' that is the Forth & Clyde Canal which runs from East to West through the industrial heartlands of Central Scotland, received 38% of the public vote.

Artist Barry Grove, himself originally from Kilsyth, developed three alternative concepts to choose between. Work is already underway on the winning design which will be finished by November.
