Netherwich Tunnel arts installation

Once regarded as a barrier to walking along the canal, the Netherwich Tunnel has benefited from the restoration project with a lighting display created by young people from Droitwich High School and the town's youth club.

Working alongside artists Richard Ellis and Pauline Rice, the teenagers created lighting designs to illuminate the tunnel. The tunnel is now lit with multi-coloured LED lights and the railings are decorated with silhouette artwork and metalwork plaques, which Richard created from artwork developed by the young people.
