Donations can be made on-line or over the phone by debit or credit card or sending a cheque by post.

Don't forget to Gift Aid your donation
If you are a taxpayer, the value of your gift can be increased by 28% at no cost to you. For every pound you give to The Waterways Trust, we can claim an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue. If you are a higher-rate taxpayer, you can also claim tax relief on the gifts that you make.
Regular donations
Set up a monthly direct debit of £3 today. If you are a UK taxpayer, every £1 you give can be increased to £1.28, so your monthly gift of £3 would be worth £.84 to The Waterways Trust, giving us more funds to spend on Britain's waterways. For more information call our donation line: 0845 0700 710.
Payroll giving
You can make a regular payment to The Waterways Trust direct from your salary. Payroll giving is an easy and tax-effective way to donate to The Waterways Trust. A donation of £5 only costs you £3.92. The Government also tops up payroll giving, and every donation of £5 made through the scheme is worth £5.50 to The Waterways Trust. Check with your payroll department to find out if your company is part of the Payroll Giving Scheme. If your company is not signed up, find out more by contacting us by email or phone 0845 0700 710.
Legacies
If you would like to leave a bequest to The Waterways Trust, you can plan giving while ensuring that your dependents are provided for. Charitable legacies are paid before tax is deducted, reducing the total amount of tax paid on the estate. For more information call 0845 0700 710.
Project specific donations
If you would like to make sure your donation goes towards funding a specific Trust project you can do so. Click here to go to the Projects and Activities section and select your chosen project.
American Friends
United States citizens wishing to support the work of The Waterways Trust can make donations through American Friends of Britain's Waterways, requesting that the donation supports the work of the Trust. These donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
