You can visit the archives free of charge however access is by appointment only:

Monday-Friday: 09.30-16.30 (closed from 13.00-14.00)

Saturday-Sunday: Closed

When booking an appointment, you should request what material you would like to look at.

You will be asked to sign in a register on arrival.

A photocopying service is available, subject to a charge, copyright regulations and on condition that this will not damage the originals.

We aim to make the waterways' documentary heritage as widely available as possible and can give help or advice to all those using our service.
