Learning is fun

During 2009/10, more than 900 people attended two taster days to discover more about the different courses available at the National Waterways Museum.

Over 160 people then took part in a range arts and craft courses delivered by West Cheshire College. Courses included Canal Folk Art, crochet, Cards, digital photography, mentoring skills, patchwork, one-pot-cooking and how to trace your family tree.

Learning is Fun enabled people who either didn't have a positive experience of education when at school or who hadn't done any kind of learning since leaving formal education to learn new skills and pass this new knowledge onto others.
