Droitwich Canal Restoration
Thank you for all your support. We raised £476,000 towards
this £11million restoration programme which has created:
- a 21-mile canal loop and linear park - the only loop in
Europe that can be completed in a long weekend
- new walking and cycling routes, picnic sites
- play areas and fishing spots
- new habitats for wildlife including a 2 hectare reed bed
as well as conseerving 40 heritage structures.
Some of the projects we have helped happen as part of the scheme
include:
- Restoration of the Barge Lock
- Salt to Severn environmental trail
- Community mind map and play
- Hanbury Locks play area
- Wych Barge interpretation point
- Netherwich Tunnel arts installation
