Dream Weavers Environmental Improvement Project

Working with a group of disadvantaged young people in Bradford, the Dream Weaver project uses the River Aire and Leeds & Liverpool Canal to engage with the young people and improve their confidence.

With funding from the Trust's Small Grant Scheme, Dream Weavers is helping to improve the waterway environment to provide better habitat and feeding grounds for a range of local wildlife. The group has installed nesting boxes for barn owls and bat boxes, cleaned up designated locations along the two waterways and undertaken environmental improvement work to create an environment where barn owls, Daubenton's bats and water voles are able to thrive.
