Keep Wales' Rivers Tidy

Keep Wales Tidy works to encourage action to maintain and improve the cleanliness of Wales. Through its Rivercare Scheme the organisation is working with local communities to keep stretches of waterway clean and undertake environmental improvements such as installing bird or bat boxes, creating otter holts, improving paths and managing hedges.

KWT used a grant from The Waterways Trust's Small Grants Scheme to help eradicate invasive Giant Hogweed from the River Usk, which includes the Mon & Brec Canal, to enable native species to regenerate.
