Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club
Funding from The Waterways Trust's Small Grants Scheme enabled Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club to complete the renovation of a wooden hull double racing skiff.
The club, established in 1931, aims to promote and encourage the traditional sport of racing in Thames skiffs and punts using equipment donated by its first benefactor. A skiff is a traditional clinker-built rowing boat with fixed seats. They were originally used by ferrymen on the Thames, but perhaps are best known as the boat used by Jerome K Jerome's Three Men in a Boat.
