Wester Hailes Pond, Edinburgh

In Scotland, a grant from The Waterways Trust's Small Grant Scheme was used to remove litter at the Wester Hailes pond which is situated alongside the Union Canal. Hawthorn trees and native plants have also been planted on the banking around the pond to provide wildlife habitats and enhance the environment.
