Volunteering on: Green Action

Story: Vicki, who has cerebral palsy, took part in the Tourism option of the Trust's Green Action programme. During her placement she worked at The Falkirk Wheel gift shop, with the visitScotland team, with a hire-boat company and also experienced office life with The Waterways Trust Scotland.

Now: Vicki is pro-actively job hunting and hopes to impress a local employer with her newly developed skills.

Vicki says: "I really enjoyed working in the Trust's office and would definitely come back.  Green Action has been good and I'd say to other people to give it a try.  I got some good work experience and I got a new CV too. Ideally I want a part-time admin job but if I don't get one I'll just keep volunteering."
