How long have you been a volunteer? About six weeks

Where do you volunteer? At the National Waterways Museum

What do you do? As me and my husband Terry love gardening we have spent our time getting to grips with the garden next to the museum entrance which had been neglected.

Why did you become a volunteer? Terry likes boats and we had visited the museum a few times, when we moved here from Bristol, we thought it would be a good way to make some new friends and become part of the community.

Best thing about volunteering? It is nice to be part of something, we're really enjoying it. We couldn't do anything like this where we used to live."
