Payroll Giving
This is one of the easiest and most cost-effective way to give
to The Waterways Trust.
The great benefit of Payroll Giving is that donations are taken
from your salary before tax is deducted, which means that you get
tax relief included in your donation at your top rate of tax. In
simple terms, your donations cost you less. For every £1 you donate
through Payroll Giving, it will only cost you 80p (or 60p if you
are a higher rate tax payer).
What you should do: Simply ask your Payroll
Department if they already operate a Payroll Giving or Give As You
Earn scheme and, if so, how you sign up. If not, then ask if
they could set one up by contacting Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) who will be
more than happy to help.
