Heritage Boatyard Supervisor
Term: 1 yr fixed term, possibility of renewal
Salary: £15-18k Full Time (consideration given to applications for part time work - minimum of 3 days per week)
If you’re an experienced boat repairer, here’s an opportunity you shouldn’t miss. It’s the chance to play a key role at the Heritage Boatyard – a brand new part of the National Waterways Museum. You won’t find a better place to indulge your passion for restoring and conserving historic boats. As the Boatyard’s Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the yard, making sure all work is carried out safely and cost effectively. It’s a rewarding role that will also see you managing and training volunteers. In addition, you’ll be on hand to show groups of visitors around.
While relevant craft skills are crucial, it’s just as important that you’re a proven people manager with a customer-focused approach. As well as excellent communication skills, you’ll also be equipped with experience of overseeing budgets, plus a sound knowledge of health and safety.
