Development Officer
Up to £28,000
Manchester
We're looking for a talented fundraiser/project manager to help continue the transformation of the Rochdale Canal.
About the role
This is your chance to contribute your skills and energy to an ongoing programme of work on the Rochdale Canal: encouraging greater use by the local community; increasing access, learning and engagement; supporting environmental improvement; and maximising the opportunities for the canal to help regenerate the wider area. Building on the good progress we've already made, you will act as a key liaison point for our partners, funders and stakeholders. As well as identifying new opportunities to add value, you will also look after the day-to-day management of the project portfolio.
About you
With impressive experience of community and partnership-based project work, you will have a strong record of fundraising from external sources. Excellent project management and development skills are essential - so too is the ability to think strategically and organise resources effectively.
About us
The Waterways Trust is a charity that has worked since 1999 to enrich people's lives through the waterways. Our vision is to ensure the UK waterway network is supported, valued and enjoyed by everyone. By identifying need, building partnerships, raising funds and delivering projects, we are helping communities to become greener, healthier, safer, smarter and wealthier. We work closely with British Waterways, the public body which cares for 2,200 miles of canals, rivers, docks and reservoirs across Britain.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Lucy Rogers on 07795 838335.
