Conservation
Conservation of the historic and natural environment goes hand-in-hand with waterway regeneration and is achieved in a way that is sensitive and sustainable.
Our conservation work is of the highest standards and as we grow we continue to seek and form partnerships with organisations which have their own distinctive and complementary skills to our own, forming beneficial associations between different organisations.
Our conservation policy guides our work in this area.
Restoring and preserving the built heritage of Britain's canals is an increasingly important part of the regeneration programmes in which we are involved.

We are committed to the enhancement of wildlife habitats so that plants and animals which rely on the waterways and their margins can survive and thrive.
