Dearne Valley Green Heart - this project has
transformed the Dearne Valley into a major visitor attraction in
South Yorkshire with a diverse range of users. Deindustrialisation
and tighter environmental regulation have improved the quality of
the valley's waterways sufficiently to sustain the return of
wildlife and river life. This has gone hand-in-hand with the return
of people to the river.
