Innovation
This award will be given to a project, activity, enterprise, or
aspect thereof, that the assessment panel believes to be
particularly innovative.
This category is open to any type of innovation, large or small,
provided it contributes to the renaissance of our inland
waterways.
Examples might include an innovative technical engineering or
conservation solution, an innovation in marketing a waterway
feature or an innovative approach to habitat conservation or
management.
Past winners
Improved Search & Rescue on Inland
Waterways - this project provided a search and rescue
solution specifically for UK inland waters which can be applied
UK-wide not only for passenger boats but for the benefit of all
inland waterway users including leisure boaters, walkers and
anglers.
