Paul Atterbury - art historian, writer, transport enthusiast and expert on BBC Television's Antiques Roadshow, Paul has also written a number of travel books, including railways and waterways.

John Craven - one of the BBC's longest standing presenters, John is best perhaps best known for John Craven's Newsround and the long running Countryfile, BBC 1's rural and environmental current affairs programme.

Dr Dave Fletcher - Formerly Chief Executive of British Waterways now Chairman of Irisys Ltd, Director od the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation adn Vice-President of the Inalnd Waterways Association.

John Fletcher - Formerly National Chairman of the Inland Waterways Association adn Chairmn of hte Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal Society.

Miranda Krestovnikoff - popular specialist presenter on BBC's One Show and Coast, and has appeared as guest presenter on Countryfile. Miranda has also worked on a number of water-based television programmes including Wreck Detectives and Water Warriors.

Sonia Rolt - modern day waterways pioneer, From volunteering to work on the canals as part of the war effort, Sonia developed a love of canals and, along with her husband, Tom, campaigned for the future of waterways and for better conditions for boaters. Together they established the Inland Waterways Association.

David Suchet - actor, best known for his portrayal of Agatha Christie's Poirot. David is a keen canal boater and spends many holidays afloat.

Timothy West - a leading stage and television actor, Timothy has owned a narrowboat since 1979 and was involved in the restoration of 'The Waverley' the last ocean-going paddlesteamer.
